The Location Mapping utility provides sites the ability to establish a hierarchy of procedure rooms and facilities as they exist within the health system. Building the location hierarchy allows providers to filter performance data by operating locations. Assigning location tags provides the opportunity to filter and group locations that may have similar case types, though not physically located in the same building.
This phenotype may return multiple location tags (one tag per row) per case.
When assigning tags to ‘Parent’ Locations, all ‘Children’ locations listed under the ‘Parent’ inherit that tag(s). In the example below, room M-CT01 results 3 tags:
Parent tags (inherited)
- Facility type - Acute care hospital
- Other - Pediatric
Location specific tags
- Other - Offsite Anesthesia
