This phenotype calculates values from the Preop Creatinine (Most Recent within 60 days) phenotype
All values expressed in ml/min/1.73m2
Obtain the most recent valid eGFR within 60 days of anesthesia start.
- Valid >0 and <300
- If data invalid ? Output = -998
- If data is completely missing ? Output = -999
If data is valid ? Output = (numeric value in ml/min/1.73m2)
Reference values:
eGFR can be derived from creatinine values: first conversion from mcmol/l to mg/dl for centers using SI units instead of Conventional Units. Then use:

Adults >= 18 years old:
CKD-EPI
eGFR = 142 × min (Scr /a, 1)^a × max(Scr /a, 1)^-1.200 × 0.9938Age × 1.01 [if female]
- Scr is serum creatinine in mg/dL,
- a is 0.7 for females and 0.9 for males,
- a is -0.241 for females and -0.302 for males
- min indicates the minimum of Scr /a or 1
- max indicates the maximum of Scr /a or 1.
Requirements:
- Age is mandatory
- If no gender data available assume female
