This phenotype matches MPOG Cases to the STS Adult Cardiac Surgery (ACSD) Registry database.

Limitation

Highly dependent on sites importing registry data along with uploading those cases to MPOG.

Data quality is limited to individual site documentation accuracy, completeness, and variable mapping, which is performed by each site, independently. MPOG, as the coordinating center, reviews data quality at each data upload and monthly via Data Diagnostics and Case Validation tools. This review, while thorough, may not contain all data elements relevant to this phenotype and thus should be carefully reviewed by the user.

Check the MPOG Case ID for a matching STS - Adult Cardiac Surgery Database (ACSD) case ID.

Step 1. Match cases between the MPOG.dbo.AIMS_IntraopCaseInfo using the Patient ID and Scheduled date/time and the STS - Adult Cardiac Surgery Database (ACSD) using the Patient ID and OR Entry date/time.

For date/times the phenotype looks within 24 hours before or after Case date/time to find a match to the registry OR entry date/time.

Step 2. Prioritize matching based on case date/time. Uses either OR date or surgery date from the registry cases to determine the closest matching date in the MPOG case table. Returns the MPOG Case ID and the associated Registry Case ID. If a match can be determined which will return registry case ID and yes. If no match, return no case ID and No.
